The following booking conditions are the sole terms and conditions of the contract between you and Rome Tour Excursions s.r.l. referred to the hotel accommodation, transport or any other booked service with us. DEFINITION OF THE AGREEMENT
These booking conditions are applicable to all bookings made from the web site rometourexcurion.it, via call centre Rome Tour Excursion s.r.l. and via email and / or with any other mean via authorized team member from Rome Tour Excursion s.r.l. operating with the tour operator name “Excursions & Tours”, Rome, Italy REA RM-1423719 – PI & CF 13096011005.
These terms and conditions apply equally to all residents of any country around the world, including but not limited to Italy, UK, USA, Australia, Germany, Holland, Sweden, France and Canada.
APPLICABILITY OF PACKAGE TRAVEL & CONTRACT REGULATIONS
You may decide to make one or more bookings for different services purchased on rometourexcursion.it at the same time and with the same payment transaction. Please note that notwithstanding of the various products you decide book, each booking is a separate booking and your bookings do not constitute a package. The only exception to what is stated above is when you book a package holiday that comprises accommodation and excursions pre-packaged in a unique booking option. Such bookings will of course be a package as formally defined in the Italian tourism legislation.
Rome Tour Excursion s.r.l. does not represent or warrant that the information and terms and conditions available on this site are appropriate and/or available for use in other jurisdictions outside Italy’s borders where its contents are unlawful and/or prohibited.
The customer / lead traveller materially making the booking shall be deemed to have accepted the booking conditions on behalf of all the passengers named in the booking under his direct responsibility.
SPECIAL REQUESTS – SPECIAL NEEDS – REMARKS FROM CUSTOMERS
Please inform us at time of booking of any special requests for any service or facility that is not included as part of your booking as well as if there is any special need we should take into account while booking and according each product features (e.g. reduce mobility, wheelchair, baby seats if applicable). We will enquire with the relevant service provider and where possible will try to accommodate your request, but please note such requests cannot be guaranteed but are just consider a special remark we are fully committed to highlight to local providers. According the type and nature of special request we may not be able to ensure it will be agreed fully agreed, since it might not be purely discretional from the end provider but related to technical aspects not beyond Rome Tour Excursion’s control. Special requests and/or special needs may be subject to the payment of a fee according its nature (e.g. special vehicles for motorized wheelchairs are not commonly in use and need to be specifically pre-booked, as well as any type of vehicle different from the standards in use). Any supplement or fee related will be noticed at the moment of the booking according its nature.
TRAVELING WITH WHEELCHAIRS AND SCOOTERS
End customers / agents or anyone requiring a booking must inform us if you will be bringing a wheelchair or scooter / mobility supports (e.g. including walkers) when you send your booking request. Please specify if it is folding, manual or include a battery and/or motor so that the appropriate service is provided for your transfer / tour / excursion. We inform you that in the case of motorized wheelchair might be needed a special transfer or private excursion subject to a different pricing because not all vehicles are suitable to carry motorized wheelchairs or carts.
INCLUSIONS – EXCLUSIONS – PRICE VALIDITY
Prices listed on rometourexcursion.it are per person, unless otherwise specified. Rates are based on the local tariff at the time of publishing and updates at the booking date, any quotations are subject to change without notice, until a booking has been confirmed and paid.
Unless otherwise specified, prices do not include any local taxes (e.g. for the accommodation overnight taxes imposed by the main part of local municipal authorities in Italy and payable directly at the hotel at the moment of checkout) or port charges, park fees, customs, immigration, agricultural, passenger-facility charges or international transportation tax when applicable and unless otherwise specified.
Prices never include tips/gratuities to tour escorts, drivers or local guides (recommended Euro 2.50 minimum per passenger per professional figure); passport and visa fees where applicable; baggage and personal insurance including but not limited to policy to waive cancellation fees; luggage porterage; any extras items of a personal nature; any possible add-on not purchased at the moment of the booking; any beverages or food not explicitly listed under “Inclusions” on the product page.
Certain products may involve charges to be paid locally like car parking without driver, fuel surcharge and airport taxes or security deposit. Customers will have to pay these directly to the relevant end service providers in order to redeem the service, this apply to particular products where indicated (information and details are stated in the relevant sections “exclusions – local supplements” listed in each product description). Once at destination and before redeeming the service we strongly recommend to review the terms of conditions related to the end supplier before making any security deposits or payments for additional charges (e.g. audio guides at the Vatican Museums which can be rented with an extra fee). Rome Tour Excursion s.r.l. has no participation in such local transactions and hence carry no associated liability in case of claim, economic loss or damages.
AMENDMENTS TO YOUR BOOKING
Customers are strongly recommended to check carefully booking details to ensure that any other independent flight and/or travel arrangements match with the dates have been booked with us as Rome Tour Excursion s.r.l. will not be liable for any costs incurred as a result of any mistakes by the customer.
All requests for modifications and amendments to your booking must be directed to the Booking Team (send an email to submit an amendment request on an existing booking to firstname.lastname@example.org ) who will process the request accordingly. See the relevant section “Payment & Cancellations” below for additional information with respect to cancelling a booking.
Rome Tour Excursion s.r.l. does not charge a fee to amend or change the dates of an existing booking, as long as the request is received by our booking team more than three (3) days ahead of your confirmed service.
It is not possible to change or modify a tour / package/ activity including special event such as theatre or show ticket or admissions to any attractions with skip the line access. Sales of these tickets are final since the moment of the booking and cannot be amended once your original purchase is confirmed. Amendment in such cases will result in a new booking; unused services will not be refunded.
All other date-change requests and amendments are subject to availability by our end suppliers; Rome Tour Excursion s.r.l. cannot guarantee the success of any date-change request.
If you request a date change within three (3) days or less of your confirmed travel date, Rome Tour Excursion s.r.l. will attempt to honour your request; nevertheless, changes made three days or less from your original travel date may be subject to an additional fee. For multi-day and overnight tours including hotel accommodation, date changes made within seven (7) days of your confirmed travel date may also be subject to additional fees according hotel’s discretional policy.
Occasionally we may be forced to make changes to tour dates, prices, inclusions, coverage, age requirements, and other Product features and/or requirements. As a result, we reserves the right to cancel, change or substitute any service, tour, ticket or product that you have booked, at any time, for any reason. In such cases, if you are dissatisfied with the alternatives offered, you are entitled to a full refund of the original purchase price. Notwithstanding the above, we make every reasonable effort to notify the costumers, also via their travel agents as appropriate, in order to amend or re-issue the booking where feasible and accepted by the final costumer.
PAYMENTS AND VOULONTARY CANCELLATION BY THE CUSTOMER
If, for any reason, the customer decides to cancel the confirmed booking, credit card used for the payment will be credited with the appropriate amount as per the cancellation policy applicable and the possible difference with the price paid refunded (if applicable).
Cancellation charges may vary from product to product and exceptions are displayed on each product description. When customers book a reservation for a product through rometourexcursion.it , we collect payment information and processes the payment as described below under “Payment Processing”. The following credit cards are accepted: Mastercard, Visa, American Express, Discover, Carta Aura, Maestro and payments are processed exclusively via PayPal. There is no charge or service fee for processing credit or debit card payments. Full payment by credit or debit card is required to make a reservation. Payment will be listed as “ROME TOUR & EXCURSION S.R.L.” on the credit or debit card statement.
No refunds are available once a tour or service has commenced, or independently of any package, accommodation, travel arrangement, meals or any other services used or partially used.
Cancelling a booking with Rome Tour Excursion s.r.l. can result in cancellation fees depending on the moment the cancellation is performed. When cancelling any booking customers will be notified via email of the total cancellation fees prior the cancellation is finalized and the possible fee debited. Cancellation fees are applicable for any reason, including missed departure from country of origin, strikes, illness, inclement weather, missed ship connection for reasons beyond our control.
Regular shared and private tours, as well as any single transfer service:
- If you cancel at least 7 day(s) in advance of the scheduled departure, there is no cancellation fee.
- If you cancel between 3 and 6 day(s) in advance of the scheduled departure, there is a 50 percent cancellation fee.
- If you cancel within 2 day(s) of the scheduled departure, there is a 100 percent cancellation fee.
Attraction, theatre and shows tickets performed as single ticket or inside a tour package including skip the line admissions to attractions
These purchases are non-refundable in all circumstances. Activities are booked with a specific selected admission time / day and cannot be amended nor refunded once confirmed.
Shore trips, pre and post cruise packages, any package including hotel accommodation and other tour products & services
- If you cancel at least 10 day(s) in advance of the scheduled departure, there is no cancellation fee.
- If you cancel between 5 and 9 day(s) in advance of the scheduled departure, there is a 50 percent cancellation fee.
- If you cancel within 5 day(s) of the scheduled departure, there is a 100 percent cancellation fee
- No show (including impossibility to dock for the ship due to inclement weather) will incur in 100 percent cancellation fee unless specific marketing gesture agreed. In the event a ship cannot reach the port of call due to reasons of greater force we are committed to agree to our customers a specific customer gesture to waive a substantial part of the cancellation fees; however, since any refund is not totally under our direct control, any marketing gesture shall be considered, discretional and offered for each specific event.
Payments are processed exclusively in Euro. Sometimes banks or credit or debit card companies may convert the payment into Euros and the final amount will be the one charged to the customer’s bank account or credit or debit card statement. We recommend customers to contact their bank or card company if they have any questions concerning any applicable conversion or fees from country of residence value into Euros. Local value added tax is included in all prices and will be charged to the credit or debit card used to make the purchase.
Under this agreement, the payment processing services for services purchased on this website are provided by PayPal. PASSPORTS, VISAS AND HEALTH REQUIREMENTS
It is exclusive responsibility of all passengers, regardless of their nationality, to check with the appropriate authorities about any visa and immigration requirements and restrictions. We will not accept any responsibility if you or any passenger belonging to your party will travel without the correct passport, visa, health insurance or any other immigration requirement as well as will not be compliant with restrictions and rules of admission in the country of destination.
INFORMATION ACCURACY & PRODUCT UPDATES
We regularly review all details and additional information about the travel product offered to ensure accurateness, nevertheless occasionally may be necessary updates for reasons beyond our control (e.g. change of procedures of admissions in specific venues), we will notice agents and end customers when occurred such changes as soon as possibile. Please note all duration times given are approximate and subject to local conditions. Please review the check-in time for the accommodation as these vary from country to country and could be any time between noontime and 4:00 pm. Please carefully read all remarks indicated in the shore trips products to fully enjoy the service and learn what to expect from it, remarks are considered relevant part of each product descriptions as well as voucher redemption instructions.
Rome Tour Excursion is committed to monitor wherever possible that local standards have been met for all the services offered. However, note such standards may be lower and vary widely from country to country and may not match those prevalent in the UK, USA, CANADA or the country where you are resident. If you have a concern with any safety standards you come across, you must take this up with the relevant service provider in the locality concerned at the time of your trip.
CIRCUMSTANCES BEYOND OUR OR OUR SUPPLIER’S CONTROL
No compensation of any kind or responsibility can be taken if, due to circumstances beyond the control of Rome Tour Excursion s.r.l. or the relevant service providers, we have to notify a change to your arrangements or we or the relevant service providers cannot supply your arrangements in full or in part as agreed, or you suffer any loss or damage of any description. A circumstance beyond our or the relevant service providers’ control is one that cannot be foreseen or avoided, even after taking all due care and includes but is not limited to war, terrorist activity, civil unrest, industrial disputes and bad weather situations or forecasts.
MISSED SHIP CONNECTION / SPECIAL GUARANTEE
For shore trips products, if you are not returned to the ship in time to board, we will arrange the necessary transport to the next port-of-call if the event occurred in under our direct / our end provider’s responsibility (are not considered foreseeable events traffic congestion due to accident during the journey to the port or other events of greater force such us demonstrations, acts of Gods, earthquakes and terrorist attacks) . This policy applies only to our contracted local suppliers and only when, through no fault or action of your own, you are not returned to the ship in time to board for reasons related to local supplier’s behaviour and organization. The policy is void in instances where delay is caused by your own actions and/or you have deviated from the Rome Tour Excursion s.r.l. activity or tour and/or you’ve not showed up in time at the meeting point for the return journey to the port and/or in case of no show at the beginning of the planned activity. You must supply Rome Tour Excursion s.r.l. with correct arrival and departure ship information and ensure there is enough time (minimum 2 hours) between the tour end time and the ship departure time. You must contact Rome Tour Excursion s.r.l. directly to request next port-of-call transportation arrangements as customers cannot book their own travel. Rome Tour Excursion s.r.l. will select and book travel for you to the next port of call (not to exceed US$ 1000 per booking). This policy does not apply if your ship misses a port of call or is delayed beyond the commencement / finishing time.
In case customers experience a service inefficiency, lack of service or a service different from what indicated in the product description they are entitled to send a formal complaint with money refund request. The best way to rise a claim is while the service is still running, in this way we are allowed brought the claim to the attention of the relevant local service provider immediately so that action can be taken to remedy the problem. Failure to report your complaint in this way may uncover any claim is subsequently raised. Complaints must also be notified to us at the earliest opportunity and no later than 15 days after the service date; failure in respecting this deadline may be considered ad minor seriousness of problems reported in the claim.
Customers are required to send an email about their experience at email@example.com ; refund requests may take longer to allow us time to investigate, and will be responded to within 7/10 business days.
In order to deal promptly with any claims, it is essential that customers retain all bills, receipts and other documents relating to the travel arrangements which were generated by the alleged inefficiency experienced. We strongly recommend also to send any evidence in support of the claim raised.
Rome Tour Excursion s.r.l. will provide detailed vouchers with relevant information, redemption instruction for each booking. It is customers’ responsibility to print out all the vouchers related to the booking and present them to the relevant service providers. All local providers also accept electronic copies of vouchers unless clearly mentioned on the voucher itself. When presenting pre-paid voucher for redemption, the lead traveller may be requested to present valid photo identification, indicating the name of the lead traveller. This action is discretional on the local service provide and may be necessary in some specific cases only when it’s needed to verify lead traveller’s identity (e.g. specific museums and attractions).
End customers are exclusive responsible for themselves and their party’s behaviours. If we or our suppliers believe one or more passengers could cause risk, disappointment, offence or any kind of personal annoyance to other customers, guests or local team members, we or our local providers of services may refuse to accomplish to render totally or partially the services booked end the booked arrangements immediately. In this event neither Rome Tour Excursion s.r.l. nor the pertinent local service providers will pay any compensation, offer refunds / partial refunds nor pay any expenses the passengers suffered as a result of their own behaviour.
Passengers are responsible for their own personal safety and for the safety of other people dependent on the lead traveller and belonging to the same party. Lead travellers are recommended to take time to understand and share with the rest of the party health and safety rules stipulated by the relevant service provider or the facility and according the travel destination.
The customer agrees to defend and indemnify Rome Tour Excursion s.r.l., its affiliates, and/or their respective suppliers and any of their officers, directors, employees and agents from and against any claims, causes of action, demands, recoveries, losses, damages, fines, penalties or other costs or expenses of any kind or nature including but not limited to reasonable legal and accounting fees, brought by: their or on their behalf in excess of the liability described above; or by third parties as a result of breach of this agreement or the documents referenced herein; violation of any law or the rights of a third party; or use of this website.
Please be aware that the star ratings may be different to official ratings as they vary significantly by country, accommodation type and often within same countries. Hence it is your exclusive responsibility to review the description of hotel facilities, rooms, meals and other amenities to make the very best decision for yourselves according your personal and individual needs (e.g. access for low mobility, wheelchairs, admission for pets, kids beds, or any other fundamental facility you may need).
It is your responsibility when making a reservation to ensure you have booked the correct room type for your needs and according participants final number (also in respect to their age referring to the hotel’s kids policy). All details of the room types and the number of people that can be accommodated in the room are available on the website and we strongly recommend to double check them on your email confirmation. In case of involuntary mistake, we accept amendments up to 24 hours from the original booking in written form at the email address firstname.lastname@example.org ; we will reject any amendment request due to accidental mistakes beyond this time limit and for bookings finalized less than 5 days before the arrival; this apply exclusively to booking including hotel accommodation and not to any other service displayed on our web site.
You acknowledge that the availability of the facilities and features listed for each hotel are under the direct control of the hotel and as such Rome Tour Excursion s.r.l. or its affiliates cannot be held responsible if those facilities or features are not made available to you during the period select by you as your stay. If a facility or feature is discriminant to accomplish the booking according your needs, we strongly recommend to get in touch with Rome Tour Excursion s.r.l. team to check if the facility or feature will be available during your dates of stay. Please note that, in particular, swimming pools and air conditioning are generally available seasonally and it is your responsibility to check whether these facilities will be available during your stay. You acknowledge that the inclusion in the hotel’s facilities of car parking, means that a provision is made by the hotel for car parking. You acknowledge that the availability and cost of the car parking is determined by the individual hotel and not beyond Rome Tour Excursion’s control. It is your responsibility to check the availability and cost of the car parking provided by each hotel and pay directly at the hotel the possible supplement according hotel’s regulations. The same clause is applied for any other extra feature provided by the hotel included but not limited to: en-suite minibar, en-suite safe, Wi-Fi connection,
AIRPORT AND PORT TRANSFERS
You are only and exclusive responsible for providing precise arrival time and pick up location information (e.g. airport name, complete flight number, cruise docking port, hotel address and unique hotel name) at the moment of the booking. We can accept amendment and reconfirmation following the booking with limitations: at least 72 hours before the service date if you booked just transfer services not connected to other activity and at least 5 days before the tour date if you booked a shore trip or any other activity or package including hotel accommodation. Such information, as latest review from your side, must be sent to email@example.com . Failure to do so can lead to loss of service as well us not correct service execution; in such event Rome Tour Excursion s.r.l., its affiliates or the relevant service provider will not be liable for any refunds or penalties. You are the only responsible that compulsory information needed to render the service are correct and up-to-date. Rome Tour Excursion s.r.l. does not verify in any way the information provided at the time of booking, in case relevant information are wrong will not be possible neither a refund nor the service rep.

INSURANCE POLICY – CIVIL RESPONSIBILITY COVERAGE AND OTHER COVERAGES
All services and provisions included in the web site rometourexcursion.it are already provided directly by the end providers with the necessary civil responsibility insurance policies required by Italian law to operate each specific tourist service, furthermore Rome Tour Excursion s.r.l., acting as licensed tour operator and operating under the Excursions & Tours brand, is regularly ensured with additional civil responsibility coverage with Carige Assicurazioni insurance policy number 802546500 (liability policy issued by Carige Assicurazioni, subject to annual renewal), mandatory for Italian law to all travel agencies and tour operators.
Risks not covered by civil responsibility insurance during the provision of services booked on rometourexcursion.it are all the effects of terrorist events, popular uprisings, acts of God, tidal waves, tsunamis, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, strikes, inclement weather, and any other cause beyond the direct control of Rome Tour Excursion s.r.l. Be aware that our insurance policy does not cover in any case the following risks: financial damages and cancellation penalties due to cancellation of the booked service (including no-show for non-ship arrival); health insurance included but not limited to medical expenses, death, illness and injuries due to reasons beyond Rome Tour Excursion’s control; luggage insurance; legal protection against passenger’s behaviour.
Consequently, it is a condition of our contract with you that you and all members of your party have suitable and sufficient travel insurance to cover your journey as neither Rome Tour Excursion s.r.l. nor our suppliers can be held responsible for any liability, expenses or losses you incur as a result of being inadequately insured. We strongly recommend that at the time of booking a comprehensive travel insurance policy is purchased.
OUR LIABILITY TO CUSTOMERS
We act as booking agent or as organizer (depending on the service you booked) for accommodation, transport, guide service, attraction and/or any other event or service on the booking. In any case and circumstance, we have no liability of any kind whatsoever to you or your party or dependants for any death, personal injury, loss, consequential loss or damage of any kind you or your party or your dependants may suffer unless caused by our own negligence. Furthermore, Rome Tour Excursion’s agents and suppliers also accept no responsibility or liability whatsoever for any government restraints, acts of war and terrorism, weather conditions, or for any misadventure or casualty or any other force majeure or causes beyond their control as set out in the present booking conditions. Subject to the terms and conditions on this site, Rome Tour Excursion ’s liability shall be limited to up to the price paid for the booked arrangements for all the events beyond our direct control.
LAW AND INTERNATIONAL CONVENTIONS
If any international convention applies to or governs any of the services or facilities supplied by us on behalf of our suppliers, and you make a claim against us of any nature arising out of death, injury, loss or damage suffered during or as a result of the provision of those services or facilities, our liability to pay you compensation and/or the amount (if any) of compensation payable to you by us will be limited in accordance with and/or in an identical manner to that provided for by the international convention concerned (in each case including in respect of the conditions of liability, the time for bringing any claim and the type and amount of any damages that can be awarded). International Conventions which may apply include: Italian legislation regarding tourism and civil code (purchases and contracts), naval code, transportation codes, penal code, and in respect of international air travel, the Warsaw Convention 1929 (including as amended by The Hague Protocol of 1955 and by any of the additional Montreal Protocol of 1975) or the Montreal Convention 1999; in respect of rail travel, the Berne Convention 1961; in respect of carriage by sea, the Athens Convention 1974; in respect of carriage by road, the Geneva Convention 1973; and, in respect of hotels, the Paris Convention 1962. For the avoidance of doubt, this means that we are to be regarded as having all benefit of any limitations of compensation contained in any of these conventions or any other international conventions applicable to your travel arrangements.
INVALIDITY AND/OR PARTIAL INEFFICIENCY
The invalidity or inefficiency of any disposition of the terms and conditions of use will not influence the validity or efficiency of any other disposition or part of disposition.
APPLICABLE LAWS AND LEGAL COURT
The booking terms and conditions are sustained and interpreted by the Italian law except for the International Private Law and the European Union regulations ratified by Italy regarding tourism and e-commerce. Any controversy derived or connected to the execution of terms and conditions of use will be passed on to the exclusive jurisdiction of the legal court of Rome (Italy).
